What is HARD RESET or FACTORY RESET?
A HARD RESET, also commonly referred to as a FACTORY RESET, is a fundamental process used to restore a MOBILE PHONE to its original Factory Settings. This action Wipes Out all user Data, applications, and customized settings, Photos, Videos, Messages, Contacts etc. effectively returning the phone to the state it was in when it was first manufactured.
We can do HARD RESET using phone Buttons.
- Turn Off Your Device: Power off your Mobile Phone completely.
- Enter Recovery Mode: Press and hold a specific combination of hardware buttons simultaneously. The button combination varies depending on the device model. Common combinations include holding the power button and volume down button or power button and volume up button.
- Navigate and Select Factory Reset: Once in recovery mode, use the volume buttons to navigate through the menu options. Look for an option that says “Wipe data/factory reset” or similar. Use power key to select option.
- Confirm: Confirm that you want to perform the factory reset. Use the volume buttons to navigate to “Yes” and select it with the power button.
- Complete Reset: The device will begin the factory reset process. After finished, reboot your device.
